Derek recently starred in Olivier nominated TILL THE STARS COME DOWN at the National Theatre and can currently be seen in BBC series BOARDERS. He is well known for his role as Richard Cawood, opposite Sarah Lancashire, in the much loved HAPPY VALLEY (BBC & AMC) whilst recent credits include ITV’s PAYBACK, CRIME 2 for ITV & BritBox and the graphic novel inspired series BODIES (Netflix) alongside Stephen Graham and Shira Haas. Other prominent television roles include Captain Sutherland in GENTLEMAN JACK, Clement Cowan in INDUSTRY and King James in GUNPOWDER all for the BBC & HBO and Adam Gettrick in THE MISSING S2 for the BBC. His film work includes Torquil Travers in FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD and William Baxter in MARY SHELLEY directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour and starring Elle Fanning, Douglas Booth and Maisie Williams.
