Luke Newberry is best known for his BAFTA-nominated performance in BBC’s acclaimed series IN THE FLESH, which also earned him a Royal Television Society nomination and a place on Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow list. A recipient of the Ian Charleson Award for his role as Malcolm in MACBETH, Luke’s stage credits also include WHEN WINSTON WENT TO WAR WITH THE WIRELESS at the Donmar Warehouse as well as THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR for the RSC.
On screen, he has appeared in GENTLEMAN JACK for BBC/HBO, played the lead role in the feature DUSTY AND ME, appeared as Monty in ITV’s THE SINGAPORE GRIP, Agamemnon in THE LEGEND OF HERCULES for Millennium Films and appeared in Joe Wright’s ANNA KARENINA as Vasily Lukich. His most recent credits include his appearance in the ensemble cast for LEAD HEADS directed by Giles Borg and on stage as Rodolpho in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE directed by Holly Race Roughen.
