Colm is this year’s winner of the prestigious IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award. A Golden Globe and Olivier Award nominee, he can currently be seen in Chris Andrews’ BRING THEM DOWN which premiered at TIFF to critical acclaim, whilst other recent work includes IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS and Neil Jordan’s MARLOWE.
With a career spanning over thirty years, he has appeared in critically acclaimed films, ranging from CON AIR and KINGS to GET HIM TO THE GREEK. His role as Martin McGuinness in THE JOURNEY opposite Timothy Spall’s Ian Paisley won him enormous praise. Theatre credits include Big Daddy in Benedict Andrews’ critically-acclaimed CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF in the West End, and the Tony nominated Broadway production of THE ICEMAN COMETH opposite Denzel Washington. Recent credits include THE SERPENT QUEEN (Starz), GANGS OF LONDON (Sky) and THE BANKER (Apple).
