Fanny Leander Bornedal

Danish actress Fanny Bornedal stars in the leading role of Emma in NIGHTWATCH – DEMONS ARE FOREVER which opened at the BFI London Film Festival and for which she has recently been nominated for the prestigious Bodil Award. Bornedal was also nominated for a Danish Academy Award for her role Teresa in THE SHADOW IN MY EYE, about the accidental bombing of a school in Copenhagen during WWII . She plays troubled dancer Sapphire opposite Trine Dyrholm in Christoffer Boe’s FACE TO FACE II and can also be seen in Danish-series CARMEN CURLERS as Kathrine and DEPARTMENT Q: THE PURITY OF VENGEANCE, for which she was also nominated for a Danish Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Other titles include BORGEN – POWER & GLORY, EQUINOX and THAT TIME OF THE YEAR.
