David recently wrapped HBO’s THE REGIME opposite Kate Winslet. He has had an extensive career in theatre, TV and film. A RADA alumni, he notably went on to star in the original TV production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE for the BBC and made a mark internationally for his renowned role of Marcus Tullius Cicero in the HBO/BBC series ROME. He won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his performance as Guy in MY NIGHT WITH REG, a role which he reprised on TV.
Further credits include VALKYRIE directed by Bryan Singer, PETERLOO directed by Mike Leigh, TRUST directed by Danny Boyle, Sky Atlantic series CAMPING and DARKEST HOUR directed by Joe Wright. He can recently be seen in FLESH AND BLOOD for ITV, INSIDE NO.9 for BBC, A VERY ENGLISH SCANDAL for Amazon and ENOLA HOLMES for Netflix.
