Ulrich Thomsen

Ulrich was recently announced as the beloved DC villain Sinestro in the highly anticipated DC/HBO series LANTERNS starring Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler set for release next summer.

Ulrich is a writer, director and actor whose recent credits include Mikael Håfström’s feature STOCKHOLM BLOODBATH, opposite Claes Bang and Emily Beecham and TROM for the BBC and Viaplay. He stars in THE NEW POPE alongside Jude Law and Justin Marks’ series COUNTERPART.

Notable credits include his role as the lead antagonist KIRK in teh emmy award winning 3rd and 4th series of THE BLACKLIST, BOND: THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, Kathryn Bigelow’s THE WEIGHT OF WATER, Menno Meyjes’ MAX, Chen Kaige’s KILLING ME SOFTLY, Ridley Scott’s KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, Tom Tykwer’s THE INTERNATIONAL, and the series BANSHEE for Cinemax. Memorably, he plays the leading role of Christian in CELEBRATION, directed by Thomas Vinterberg, a seminal and critically acclaimed piece of the Dogma 95 movement. He can also be seen in the feature films DARLING and SMALL TOWN KILLERS.
